Customer Payment Guide

Learn how customers can make payments using Cryptrac payment links.

This guide explains how customers use Cryptrac to make cryptocurrency payments to merchants. Share this information with your customers to help them complete transactions smoothly.

Payment Process Overview

Cryptrac makes cryptocurrency payments simple for your customers with an intuitive, step-by-step process that works on both desktop and mobile devices.

How Customers Make Payments

Step 1: Receive Payment Link

Customers will receive a unique payment link from you (the merchant). This link can be shared via:

  • Email
  • Text message
  • Website checkout page
  • QR code
  • Direct messaging

Step 2: Access the Payment Page

When customers click the payment link, they'll be taken to a secure Cryptrac payment page that displays:

  • Payment amount (if specified)
  • Accepted cryptocurrencies
  • Your business name
  • Payment instructions

Mobile Optimization: The payment page is fully optimized for mobile devices, ensuring a smooth experience whether customers are on desktop or mobile.

Step 3: Select Cryptocurrency

Customers choose which cryptocurrency they want to use for payment from the options you've configured. They can select based on:

  • Cryptocurrency they already own
  • Preferred transaction fees
  • Confirmation time preferences

Step 4: Complete the Payment

Customers have two convenient options:

Option A: Scan QR Code

  1. Open their cryptocurrency wallet app
  2. Use the wallet's QR code scanner
  3. Scan the displayed QR code
  4. Confirm the transaction in their wallet

Option B: Manual Entry

  1. Copy the displayed wallet address
  2. Open their cryptocurrency wallet
  3. Create a new transaction
  4. Paste the wallet address
  5. Enter the payment amount
  6. Confirm and send the transaction

Step 5: Confirmation

After sending the payment:

  • The payment page automatically updates with transaction status
  • Customers can see when the payment is detected on the blockchain
  • Progress indicators show confirmation status
  • Customers receive a payment receipt (optional)

Transaction Status Updates

Payment Detected

The transaction has been broadcast to the blockchain and is pending confirmation.

Confirming

The transaction is being confirmed by the blockchain network. The number of required confirmations varies by cryptocurrency.

Confirmed

The payment is fully confirmed and complete. Customers and merchants will both see the successful payment status.

Confirmation Times

Transaction confirmation times vary by cryptocurrency:

Bitcoin (BTC)

  • Typically 10-60 minutes
  • Depends on network congestion and transaction fee

Ethereum (ETH)

  • Typically 1-5 minutes
  • Faster during low network usage

Solana (SOL)

  • Typically seconds to 1 minute
  • Very fast confirmation times

TRON (TRX)

  • Typically 1-3 minutes
  • Consistent confirmation times

Stablecoins

  • Varies by blockchain (Ethereum, TRON, etc.)
  • Generally fast on optimized networks

Important Information for Customers

Transaction Fees

Customers are responsible for blockchain transaction fees (gas fees), which:

  • Vary by cryptocurrency and network congestion
  • Are paid to blockchain validators, not to you or Cryptrac
  • May affect how quickly transactions are confirmed
  • Are displayed in their wallet before confirming payment

Irreversible Transactions

⚠️ Warning: Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. Customers should double-check all payment details before confirming, including:

  • Payment amount
  • Wallet address
  • Selected cryptocurrency

Payment Verification

Customers can verify their payment status by:

  • Checking the Cryptrac payment page (updates automatically)
  • Viewing the transaction in their wallet
  • Using a blockchain explorer with their transaction ID

Common Customer Questions

"How long will my payment take?"

Confirmation times vary by cryptocurrency and network conditions. Most payments are confirmed within minutes, though Bitcoin may take longer during high network activity.

"What if I sent the wrong amount?"

Contact the merchant directly. Cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed by Cryptrac, but the merchant may be able to issue a refund or credit.

"Can I cancel my payment?"

Once a cryptocurrency transaction is broadcast to the blockchain, it cannot be canceled. Contact the merchant if you need to arrange a refund.

"I sent payment but it's not showing up"

  • Wait a few minutes for blockchain confirmation
  • Check that you sent to the correct address
  • Verify you used the correct cryptocurrency
  • Check your wallet to confirm the transaction was sent
  • Contact merchant support if issues persist
